Terms of Use
Last updated October 18, 2026. These terms apply to the Shredhead apps and shredhead.us.
The short version
- Shredhead helps riders find each other. We do not vet users or run the rides, carpools, clubs or meetups people arrange.
- Skiing, riding and surfing carry real risk. You use Shredhead and head outside at your own risk.
- Be decent. We can remove content and accounts that cause harm.
1. Agreeing to these terms
By creating an account or using Shredhead you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app. You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under 18, you confirm a parent or guardian allows you to use Shredhead.
2. Your account
Give accurate information and keep your login private. You are responsible for what happens on your account. Tell us at once if someone else gets into it.
3. Your content
You own what you post, send and upload. You give Shredhead a free, worldwide license to store, display and deliver it so the app can work, for example showing your post to other riders or your check-in to your friends. You promise you have the right to share what you post and that it does not break the law or anyone's rights.
4. How to behave
Do not harass, threaten, impersonate or deceive anyone. Do not post anything illegal, hateful, sexual involving minors, violent, or that shares someone's private information. Do not spam, scrape the app, or try to break it. We may remove content, limit features or close accounts that break these rules, and we may report serious harm to the authorities.
5. Meeting other riders, carpools and clubs
Shredhead is a platform that helps people find each other. We do not screen or background-check users, verify what they say about themselves or their skill, or supervise carpools, rides, events or clubs. We are not a party to anything you arrange with another person.
- You are responsible for your own decisions and conduct, and for how you deal with other users.
- Use good judgment. Meet in public places, tell someone where you are going, and trust your instincts.
- Carpools and shared rides are arrangements between the people involved. Make sure the driver is licensed and insured and share costs as you agree. Shredhead does not provide transportation or insurance.
- Clubs, shops and other partners run their own events and are responsible for them.
To the fullest extent the law allows, Shredhead is not responsible for anything that happens between users, whether online or in person, including injury, loss, damage, disputes or misconduct.
6. Outdoor sports are risky
Skiing, snowboarding, mountain biking, trail running and surfing can cause serious injury or death. Conditions, trail, snow, surf and weather information in Shredhead comes from third parties and models. It can be wrong or out of date and is only a guide. Check official sources, know your limits, wear proper gear and follow local rules. You take part in these activities, and use this information, at your own risk.
7. Check-ins and location are not a safety service
Check-ins and friend notifications are for fun and coordination. They are not an emergency or tracking service. Do not rely on them to find you or to call for help. In an emergency, call 911 or your local emergency number.
8. Reporting and blocking
You can block and report users and content in the app, or email donny@shredhead.us. We review reports and may act on them, but we cannot promise to catch everything.
9. Purchases
Merchandise is sold through Shopify under Shopify's checkout terms and the store's shipping and return policies.
10. Our service as is
Shredhead is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not promise that it will always work, be error-free or be available. We may change or end features at any time.
11. Limits on our liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Shredhead LLC and its owners, staff and partners are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost data, profits or opportunity, or for the acts or content of other users or third parties. Our total liability to you for any claim about Shredhead is limited to the greater of $100 or the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may apply to you only in part.
12. If a claim comes from your use
You agree to cover Shredhead LLC for losses and costs (including reasonable legal fees) from claims that arise from your content, your conduct, or your breach of these terms, to the extent the law allows.
13. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by Colorado law, without regard to its conflict rules. Disputes will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Colorado, and you and we agree to those courts. Before filing a claim, please email us so we can try to resolve it.
14. Changes and ending
We may update these terms and will post the new date here. If you keep using Shredhead after a change, you accept it. You can stop using Shredhead and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms.
